Psychological support scoping project
Macmillan Cancer Support and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust are carrying out a joint scoping project on the psychological support offered in cancer and palliative care services.
The aim of the project is to:
- Understand what emotional and psychological support people need when accessing cancer or palliative care services
- Understand people’s experiences of receiving or not receiving emotional or psychological support in cancer and palliative care services across Birmingham and Solihull
- Gain people’s ideas as to how psychological support within cancer and palliative care services could be improved
- Produce recommendations to develop the emotional and psychological support provided by services across Birmingham and Solihull
